Inscape
An exhibition of recent works inspired by the the local built environment of Central Coast of Tasmania North West at its most mundane, focusing on the functional buildings which often characterise our lives but yet are not given much conscious attention. What lies beyond these familiar fascade? What are their inscape?
Inscape by definition is ‘the distinctive, dynamic design that is the individual identity inherent in an object or place’ (Gerard Manley Hopkins, 1983). This exhibition explores this interior and uncovers something of what these buildings say about the communities that are built in, through and around them.
