Devonport Regional Gallery's after school art program shines a bright light on creativity!
This program of after school workshops for Primary and Secondary students with local artist Jessie Pangas explores ideas, sparks the imagination and develops an appreciation of the visual arts. No prior skill or knowledge is required, just a healthy sense of curiosity and desire to create. With a limited number of places available in each group, Jessie offers a focused, individual and tailored approach for participants.

An afternoon arts workshop that gives creative kids extra opportunities, outside of school, to further their creative thinking and develop an appreciation of visual arts.
Beginning with an initial series of workshops in early 2017 Art Spark quickly expanded to become a annual program with 8 sessions offered per term throughout 2017-2018.
Dianne Sheehan, the gallery’s Education and Public Programs Officer said Mrs Pangas “tailors the sessions to each individual’s interests, focusing on fostering creativity and expression through a variety of arts media. By conducting the sessions in the Gallery environment, Jessie can refer to professional artists work on display when discussing concepts and techniques, offering an enhanced visual art experience for students,” she said.
